She is greeting me in a small house, which she shares with her mother at one of the toughest neighborhoods in Tel Aviv. Both her parents are drug addicts and when she was 6 months old she was adopted by a family who lost their child, where she stayed till she was 5 and then went back to her mother, who was then drugs clean…
“She stopped coming to the army dining room and used to bring only the food her mom made, the food she loved so much, until she stopped bringing it.
“Her eating disorders began at very young age, around first grade. As a young child she went through a very difficult trauma and used food as a an escape, where she had full control. The fat protected her.
